Tephrocactus molinensis is a slow-growing, clustering cactus from Argentina known for its plump, wrinkled, blue-green segments and dense clusters of soft-looking areoles. Unlike many cacti, its texture is more sculptural and pillowy than spiny, giving it a unique tactile appearance prized by collectors. Segments stack and branch over time, forming an increasingly full, gnarled cluster with age.
This listing is for our Grower's Choice selection — you'll receive a healthy, well-established plant, individually selected by our team. Segment count, shape, and coloration will vary slightly from plant to plant.
Highlights
- Slow-growing, clustering Tephrocactus species
- Plump, wrinkled, sculptural segments
- Soft-textured areoles rather than heavy spines — please handle with care, as they can cause skin irritation despite their fuzzy appearance
